If you are traveling to our wedding (thank you!), there are various ways to get here. Obviously, you could drive. If you do not have a car and are coming from New York, you could take Amtrak to Washington, D.C. and take the Metro to Silver Spring. The hotels are a short walk away.
There are many bus lines that go from New York to the D.C. area. We prefer Vamoose, which leaves from 3oth St and 7th Ave and takes you to Bethesda. One of us can pick you up from the bus stop.
If you are flying, there is a choice of three airports — Dulles, BWI and Reagan-National. You can take the Metro from Reagan-National to Silver Spring. Amtrak goes from BWI to D.C., where you would connect with the Metro. No trains go to Dulles; there are shuttle buses to D.C. and cabs. Renting a car is probably the easiest (but least environmentally-friendly!) option.
